“I’m Bill Harnett, an oilfield services expert supporting oilfield companies to achieve project success that is safe, efficient and profitable. Since my entry into this profession in the mid-90s, I’ve grown with the industry as it’s rapidly evolved in technological innovation, safer practices and equipment quality. One thing that’s never changed is my natural aptitude to problem solving, whether it’s within my own service provision or assisting partnering services across the worksite.

I’ve worked with numerous oilfield services and legendary people, including playing a key role in the startups of Eagle Well Servicing and Performance Well Services. I moved on to consulting and then stepped up as Operations Manager at Big Guns Energy Services, developing and managing Innovator Rigs – the equipment, the brand and the stellar team. Since then, I’ve gained international experience, working in the U.S. and China with PetroJet and founded RJB Oilfield Services, a SECOR certified boiler operation that’s currently expanding into other service avenues.

I know that companies don’t just need quality equipment and exceptional operators (which of course, we are built on). They need leaders on site that build trust, make decisions based on integrity, care about the safety of everyone on and around the worksite and just plain take pride in a great shift's hard work done.

I help oilfield companies build these qualities across every project I have a hand in.

If these values match yours, let’s talk.”

Growth-driven & supporting companies to exceed their expectations and boost their value.

“I’m Sean, I do the numbers and cognitive work behind the scenes so Bill and our equipment can shine in the field.

When you’re this serious about propelling a company forward, comic relief is required. But in all seriousness:

I’m incredibly passionate about my role in steering RJB in its evolution from a small owner/operator boiler service into the larger multi-service provider we truly believe will be a difference maker aligned with larger industry and regulatory initiatives.

So, how did a Toronto born Leafs and Jays fan come to be so invested (pun intended) in Alberta’s oil and gas service industry? Here’s the gist:

  • The oldest of two boys growing up with our wonderful mom, I was the man of the house at an early age. I know how to make the hard decisions for the good of the team.

  • In 1988, we moved to Vancouver. I embraced the west coast as my home, and it deepened my love for our country and my desire to contribute to its future.

  • After graduating from Semiahmoo Secondary School, I graduated in 2003 from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) with a Sales and Marketing degree.

  • Still, I did not yet venture into oil & gas. I worked construction; a good start.

  • What might surprise you is that I started a clothing and sports apparel company in 2008: Phat Jersey.

    •  We still make custom uniforms in baseball, hockey, and pro sports jerseys in all major North American brands. Maybe there’s a joint venture here, hit me up.

  • By 2019, I was ready for a new challenge. I joined RJB as CFO. Which was great timing because Bill’s hands were so full in the field, someone had to watch over the numbers and support his vision for growth.

  • I also co-started EcoBlasting Canada Inc. in 2022 – a more environmentally friendly and safer method of sandblasting. That eco focus, including all my professional development and research with EcoBlasting lend expertise in continuous improvement for RJB’s carbon footprint and operational efficiency.

I absolutely love my work. But my most important job is being Dad to my two sons, aged 16 and 17. Much of my spare time is spent coaching hockey and baseball. That love segues into my alignment with Bill in our mission to mentor more young talent into western Canada’s oil & gas industry. We believe young people can create fulfilling lifelong careers that support families and communities small and large across our country.

As we grow RJB, the passing of the legacy knowledge torch is a priority we aim to keep lit.

In all of this sharing, I’ll bet we have something to talk about. Reach out anytime!”
